Samsung continues to expand the One UI 8.5 Beta Program to more Galaxy devices. The update is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. It coincides with new beta releases for the Z6 and Z7 lineups, which get Beta 2 and Beta 3, respectively.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 also get early access to One UI 8.5

Samsung has launched the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 in Korea. Interested users may enrol their devices through the Samsung Members app to get early access to new features and improvements introduced with the Galaxy S26 series. It’s unclear if Samsung plans to expand beta testing to other regions.

Even if it does, don’t expect beta updates to be available globally. Samsung currently runs its One UI 8.5 Beta Program only in Korea, Germany, Poland, India, the UK, and the US. In fact, beta updates for some models are not available in all of these markets — Galaxy A36’s beta is exclusive to India. As such, we won’t be surprised if the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 do not get One UI 8.5 Beta in one or more regions.

But if you are using one of these phones in any of the aforementioned six markets, you may check for the beta program in the Samsung Members app. If available, you’ll see a banner on the home page. Tap it and follow the instructions to register your device. After that, you’ll receive One UI 8.5 beta updates like regular updates (Settings > Software update > Download and install).

These updates will continue until Samsung is ready with the stable version. The company is expected to begin the stable One UI 8.5 rollout later this month, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. Foldables may get the update in mid-May, though newer models will receive it first. Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 users may have to wait until the end of May for it.
