April 2026 update for Galaxy S26 Reaches US and More Regions

After an initial rollout in Korea, Samsung has released the April update for the Galaxy S26 series in more markets. The update is now available in the US, Europe, India, and many other regions. It should reach users worldwide in the coming days.
Galaxy S26 series receives April 2026 update in more markets
Samsung dropped the April update for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra on the first day of the month. Korean users received it first, and the company has now kicked off a global rollout. Like in Korea, the update comes with different firmware build versions depending on the model and region. Samsung is rolling out firmware versions AZCL, AZCM, or AZCO. The update size also varies by model and region, but mostly weighs under 600MB.
Nonetheless, more Galaxy S26 users are now getting Samsung’s latest security fixes. The company has yet to publish patch details, but the April 2026 security release for Galaxy devices should address several dozen vulnerabilities across Android OS and One UI components. Samsung is likely to expand this rollout to additional regions over the next few days.
Besides security patches, this update may contain bug fixes aimed at improving the camera performance, particularly the 3x telephoto unit. A moderator on Samsung’s community forums recently suggested that the April update could fix blurry 3x photo issues that many Galaxy S26 users complained about. However, we can’t immediately confirm if this release contains the said fix.
If you are using a Galaxy S26, S26+, or S26 Ultra, you may check for updates manually by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. These devices support seamless updates, so all downloading and installation will take place in the background, and you can continue using the phone. Once the update is ready, tap Install now to restart the device, and you’re done.
