Samsung’s Free Keyboard Offer Frustrates Early Galaxy Tab S10 Buyers

by | Sep 30, 2024 | Galaxy Tab, News

Samsung just sweetened the deal for anyone looking to pre-order the Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra. Instead of a 50% discount on the Book Cover Keyboard Slim, it now offers the keyboard accessory completely free. However, this is unfair to those who pre-ordered early, including us. With some already voicing frustration, we hope the company will address the concerns of its loyal early adopters.

Galaxy Tab S10 pre-orders now get you a free keyboard

The Galaxy Tab S10 series debuted alongside the Galaxy S24 FE on September 26. The new tablets do not bring as many hardware upgrades as the Fan Edition phone. However, the few subtle improvements make them a good buy. Not quite for someone already owning a Tab S9, but certainly for those upgrading from older models or getting into Samsung’s Android ecosystem.

To entice customers, Samsung offered exclusive benefits to those who pre-order the tablets. We at SammyGuru pre-ordered the Ultra and the company gave us the Book Cover Keyboard Slim at half the price. However, when we checked the official website earlier today, we noticed the keyboard accessory is now completely free with either Galaxy Tab S10 model. Samsung bundles it with your Gtablet at no extra cost.

This isn’t a wise move from the company. People who placed their orders immediately after the launch were mostly loyal customers or fans eager to try out the new tablets as soon as they could. Samsung made them pay for the keyboard accessory but now offers it for free. It needs to be consistent with its pre-order deals. If you want to charge for the slim keyboard, fine. But don’t change your pre-order deals mid-way.

We have written to Samsung about the matter. It remains to be seen whether the company responds, and how it plans to address the concerns of its loyal customers who purchased the keyboard accessory at a 50% discount earlier. We will let you know if we hear back from the Korean behemoth. In the meantime, if you plan to buy the Galaxy Tab S10+ or S10 Ultra, the devices start at $999.
