The company has identified an issue affecting the audio quality when using the “Concert Hall” sound effects via the Sound Assistant app. The company says updating the app won’t fix the problem. It requires an update for the buds. There is no timeline yet for the planned update.
Samsung to fix Galaxy Buds 3 Pro sound issue with a new update
Sound Assistant, a Good Lock module for customizing the sound output of your Galaxy device, offers several sound effects. Concert Hall simulates the reverb of a concert hall for a more vivid music experience. However, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro users noticed that the tool doesn’t work as intended on the new earbuds. The audio is muffled and distorted. The problem gets worse if the music has lots of bass.
It can be annoying for people who like the reverb of a concert hall while listening to music. Some users tested Concert Hall effects on other wireless buds and they worked fine, confirming that the issue is on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. It could have been a compatibility issue between Sound Assistant and the buds, or a hardware or software bug on the buds. Thankfully, it isn’t a hardware problem.
Responding to a user report on the official forum, a Samsung moderator from the Good Lock support team said that Sound Assistant has no issues. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is failing to produce the intended sound effects when Concert Hall is enabled. It is a software bug and can be fixed with an update. The moderator urged users to avoid using Concert Hall effects on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro until the fix arrives.
Unfortunately, there is no telling when this update might arrive. The Galaxy Buds team hasn’t announced anything yet. While the Good Lock team acknowledged the issue with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, rolling out a fix isn’t in their control.
