According to top leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the two upcoming slim phones — the iPhone 17 Air and Galaxy S25 Slim — might let you down in battery capacities. Due to their super-slim profiles, both phones are rumored to sport batteries between 3,000mAh and 4,000mAh. Not exactly the best news for anyone prioritizing battery life, right? So, if a long-lasting battery is high on your list, you might want to skip the Galaxy S25 Slim and choose the Galaxy S25+ or S25 Ultra, which are expected to pack 4,900mAh or 5,000mAh batteries.
But hey, don’t write off the S25 Slim just yet. I’m not saying it’s a total letdown. From what we know so far, it’s shaping up to be a major upgrade in a surprisingly thin package. Even the CAD renders that leaked today show some pretty exciting improvements. For instance, the Galaxy S25 Slim could be just 6.4mm thick. To put that into perspective, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are rumored to be around 7.2mm, 7.3mm, and 8.2mm thick, respectively. Plus, the Galaxy S25 Slim will feature a triple-camera setup on the back, which Ice Universe tipped a few weeks ago.
