At a time when everyone is desperately waiting for the One UI 7.0 rollout, Samsung has pulled something straight-up wild. While One UI 7.0 isnโt landing anytime soon for most flagship devices, Galaxy F06 5G is already running Android 15-based One UI 7.0. This sub-$100 Galaxy phone is putting flagships to shame. Yes, Iโm talking about the top-shelf Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Fold Special Edition.
Galaxy F06 5G has launched in India running One UI 7.0 out of the box
Samsungโs Galaxy F06 5G is a budget phone running One UI 7.0, featuring a 6.74-inch HD+ display. It sports a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor, while an 8MP shooter sits on the front. Under the hood, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, available in 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB configurations. The 4GB+128GB variant costs INR 9,499 (roughly $110) as an introductory offer. Plus, the Galaxy F06 5G promises four years of software upgrades.
Itโs also Samsungโs second launch debuting with One UI 7 or running the stable build of the latest software. As you know, last month, Samsung pulled the wraps off the Galaxy S25 series, and all those phones shipped with the One UI 7 stable build. Yet, despite kicking off the One UI 7.0 beta 1 for the Galaxy S24 series in early December, Samsung still hasnโt rolled out the stable build. It was expected earlier this month, but now, a community moderator has confirmed that another beta round will come before the final rollout.
And thatโs just for the Galaxy S24 series (excluding FE). Meanwhile, more premium devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Fold Special Edition havenโt even received the beta yet. With a long list of One UI 7.0 eligible devices still waiting, the big question remains: when will these phones finally get One UI 7.0?
