A few hours ago, we got our first look at the Galaxy S25 Slim, Samsung’s upcoming ultra-thin flagship. At just 6.4mm, it is an incredibly slim phone, nearly 2mm thinner than the S25 Ultra (8.2mm). A couple of tipsters have now shared illustrations comparing its size and thickness with the rest of the S25 lineup, highlighting its design.
Galaxy S25 Slim’s ultra-slim design highlighted in new images
The Galaxy S25 Slim shares a similar overall size with the Galaxy S25+, sparking speculation that both models may use the same 6.7-inch display panel. However, the difference in thickness is striking. The Slim measures just 6.4mm, significantly thinner than the S25+ at 7.3mm, and even the base Galaxy S25, which is 7.2mm thick. The graphic below provides a visual comparison of the thickness across all four Galaxy S25 models.
Alongside a slim profile, the Galaxy S25 Slim packs a powerful set of specs. If rumors are accurate, we are expecting the same flagship-grade display as the S25+, and potentially better cameras. We might be looking at a new 50MP 3.5x zoom camera with Samsung’s in-house ISOCELL JN5 sensor. It is a 1/2.76-inch sensor with 2x in-sensor zoom.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is also expected to feature a 50MP primary shooter and a 50MP ultrawide camera that Samsung will debut with the Galaxy S25 Ultra — the base S25 and S25+ might miss out on the new ultrawide camera. However, it will lack S Pen support and pack a substantially smaller battery, potentially under 4,000mAh. Samsung might still offer 45W charging here.
The Korean firm has already confirmed a January 22 launch for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The Slim, meanwhile, might only make a brief appearance at the Unpacked event next week. Its global launch is expected in the second quarter. More details should emerge closer to the launch.
