Samsung sets new standards with The Premiere 8K, the world’s first 8KA-certified projector
Unveiled at CES 2024, The Premiere 8K is a high-end projector with cutting-edge technologies. Its ultra-short throw (UST) technology lets it project 150-inch images from just inches away. This eliminates the need for ceiling mounts and complex installations. The brightness of 4,500 ISO Lumens ensures vivid imagery even in well-lit spaces, while its AI technology transforms lower-resolution content into sharp 8K quality.
The 8KA certification underscores its groundbreaking features. The Association tests products across various key aspects, including resolution, brightness, color gamut, contrast, HDR support, and audio. Samsung’s The Premiere 8K exceeded expectations in all these categories, making it a standout product. The projector’s stunning 8K resolution (7680 x 4320 pixels) delivers lifelike visuals and detail in all environments.
Additionally, this Tizen-powered projector supports wireless 8K connectivity via Samsung’s Wireless One Connect Box, offering a clutter-free setup. It boasts Dolby Atmos and uses Samsung’s Sound-on-Screen tech. This creates an immersive audio experience that syncs perfectly with its visuals. The projector also supports streaming apps, cloud gaming, and smart speaker features.
Other key features include multi-view and always-on voice controls. The 8KA certification has boosted Samsung’s status as a pioneer in ultra-premium projection technology. The Premiere 8K enhances home cinema, and the Korean firm promises to expand its offerings in the future.
“The Premiere 8K receiving the industry’s first 8KA certification is a major milestone as it officially demonstrates the new potential of projector technology,” said Taeyoung Son, an EVP at Samsung. “We are committed to expanding the 8K ecosystem by continuously and extensively integrating new technologies.” Samsung also makes 4K projectors, with prices starting at $2,999.99.
