Samsung’s Bespoke AI Refrigerators Can Help Locate Your Phone In a Genius Way

by | Mar 30, 2025 | News

Samsung recently held an event in Korea, putting the spotlight on its latest Bespoke AI appliances. One of the biggest talking points was how its newest AI-powered refrigerators are stepping up their game. Samsung’s Bespoke AI refrigerators can actually help you track down your misplaced phone with a simple voice command. You can say, “Hi Bixby, find my phone,” and the refrigerator will make your phone ring. Personally, I love how small innovations like this make our lives easier. Even better when artificial intelligence is involved. That, we’ll talk more about that next.

Samsung’s Bespoke AI refrigerators will know whose phone to locate by voice

Yes, artificial intelligence. And see, here’s where things get even more interesting. Unlike basic phone-locating features that set off an alert on every linked device, Samsung’s AI (in refrigerators) is smart enough to tell family members apart. That’s what the company seemingly claimed, according to Bloomberg.

Thanks to its Voice ID function, Bixby listens carefully and recognizes who’s speaking before ringing the right phone. No more wild goose chases trying to find your device when someone else in the house triggers the command. Plus, because the feature is built into Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem, as long as the phone is connected to the same Samsung account, the fridge can locate it without much hassle.

But phone tracking is just the start. The Bespoke AI Refrigerator also lets users control other home gadgets—like air conditioners and window blinds—using nothing but their voice. And on top of that, Samsung has tightened security by expanding its Knox Matrix protection system.

Previously, this high-level security was only available on Family Hub refrigerators, but now it covers all Wi-Fi-enabled appliances. This setup allows smart home devices to keep an eye on each other for potential security threats. What do you think about this update?
