We’re in March, which means Mobile World Congress (MWC) is kicking off soon in Barcelona. MWC runs from March 3rd to March 6th. Taking advantage of MWC stage, Samsung will tease the Android XR headset and Galaxy S25 Edge… again, in a way. At January’s Unpacked, Samsung teased the Android XR headset “Project Moohan” and the Galaxy S25 Edge, though no one was allowed to use them. That might change during MWC tomorrow, local time. The company is set to showcase these two highly anticipated devices, officially confirming the update in a preview of MWC 2025.

Samsung confirms it’s teasing Android XR headset, Galaxy S25 Edge at MWC

“Samsung’s vision to deliver a true AI companion through advanced mobile AI innovation will be on full display at MWC, from the Galaxy S25 series to the new Galaxy A series and its first XR headset, Project Moohan,” the press release reads. “This includes an exclusive look at Galaxy S25 Edge, the slimmest Galaxy S series device ever, which advances Samsung’s legacy of pioneering cutting-edge hardware innovation.”

We already know quite a bit about the upcoming Android XR headset, thanks to leaks and Google, which is powering the Android XR operating system. But more details might surface during the three-day event.

From what we know so far, it will feature a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset under the hood and a pair of OLED microdisplays. There’s an external battery, and you can also connect larger battery packs via USB-C. Hopefully, we’ll get more details about the Android XR headset’s release timeline, pricing, and other specs. Samsung might even take the stage to officially confirm some of these details.

As for the Galaxy S25 Edge, it’s shaping up to be the slimmest model in the S25 lineup. Based on leaks and tips so far, it might feature a dual-camera setup on the rear. That includes a 200MP wide lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Under the hood, it could pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, just like its siblings. The battery is rumored to be 4,000mAh with 25W wired charging support. Personally, I’d love to see Samsung ditch the 25W charging and bump it up to at least 45W.
