Samsung Vision AI Turns TVs into Interactive, Intelligent Partners

by | Jan 6, 2025 | News, TV

Samsung has introduced Vision AI, a smart screen technology that turns TVs into personalized, interactive companions for your daily life. The new technology was announced at the CES 2025 First Look event. The mega electronics show kicks off on Tuesday, January 7, with over 4,300 exhibitors.

Samsung Vision AI delivers smarter, more personalized TV experiences

Samsung Vision AI takes TVs to the next level by adapting to users’ needs and surroundings. It offers a bunch of AI-powered features for smarter, more personalized TV experiences. With Click to Search, users can instantly identify what’s on the screen. If you are watching a show and can’t identify an actor or displayed content, the new AI feature does the job without interrupting your viewing.

The new technology can also translate subtitles in real time for seamless enjoyment of global content. It uses an on-device AI translation tool. Additionally, you get generative wallpaper support to create dynamic, custom wallpapers that suit your mood or style.

Beyond personalization, Vision AI integrates with SmartThings to make homes smarter. The Home Insights function provides updates on household conditions, like safety alerts, while the Pet and Family Care feature monitors unusual activity in pets or family members and adjusts room settings for comfort. Combined with advanced picture and sound enhancements, Samsung Vision AI makes your TVs more adaptive.

The company doesn’t plan to stop there, though. Samsung has announced partnerships with Microsoft, Google, and others to enhance its Vision AI ecosystem. Features like Microsoft Copilot integration will bring personalized recommendations and more intelligent experiences to Samsung’s Smart TVs and Monitors.

“Samsung sees TVs not as one-directional devices for passive consumption but as interactive, intelligent partners that adapt to your needs,” said SW Yong, Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung. “With Samsung Vision AI, we’re reimagining what screens can do, connecting entertainment, personalization and lifestyle solutions into one seamless experience to simplify your life.”
