Samsung to Launch Galaxy S25 Edge Next Month Without Much Fanfare

by | Mar 26, 2025 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung may introduce the Galaxy S25 Edge with a quiet, no-frills launch, without any prior announcement. Unlike its major flagship reveals, the company reportedly has no plans for a big event for the upcoming slim phone. Instead, it will simply publish the specs and marketing materials online. While the exact launch date remains unconfirmed, rumors point to April 16.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge looks set for a low-key launch next month

Samsung hosts two major Unpacked launch events every year. The first one typically falls in January and brings the new S series flagships. The second Unpacked in July-August introduces its new Z series foldables. These devices are occasionally accompanied by new flagship tablets, watches, and earbuds.

In between, Samsung also launches several other budget and mid-range products. Some go official without much fanfare, while others see a fair amount of teasers and early promo campaigns from the company. It appears the Galaxy S25 Edge will fall into the former category. Despite high anticipation for the slim flagship, Samsung hasn’t planned anything big for its launch, X user @TheGalox_ claims.

It surely won’t be the first high-profile Galaxy product Samsung launched silently. Last year, the company introduced the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in a similar manner. Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 Edge holds a lot of similarity with the Fold SE — both are about slimness than anything else.

More importantly, rumors suggest the slim flagship will have a limited initial launch, possibly only in Korea. It remains to be seen if Samsung eventually brings it to more markets. There’s enough evidence confirming the existence of multiple Galaxy S25 Edge versions intended for the US, Europe, India, and other regions. However, the Fold SE never made its way outside Korea and China, so you never know. Stay tuned for the official launch.
