Samsung Teases Galaxy S25 in New Camera Share App Release

by | Jan 2, 2025 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung is no longer hiding the fact that the Galaxy S25 launch is just around the corner. It just released the Camera Share app for the Galaxy Book, putting the Galaxy S25 front and center. Screenshots on the Microsoft Store showcasing the feature mention the upcoming flagship by name and even hint at its potential design. The device launches on January 22.

Galaxy S25 named by Samsung ahead of launch

Camera Share is a new app for Samsung’s Galaxy Book laptops. It allows Galaxy phones to function as the webcam for the laptops. The app currently appears to be a work in progress, but it enhances the Galaxy ecosystem, bridging the gap between Samsung products — a similar cross-device function is already available for phones and tablets.

The app listing on the Microsoft Store contains screenshots showing the Galaxy S25 functioning as the webcam for a Galaxy Book. The device is named several times across two images, with one of them even featuring a supposed official render. Samsung isn’t refraining from naming or showing off the unreleased flagship anymore.

This indicates an imminent launch of the Galaxy S25. There are strong rumors of the new flagship line, which also includes the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra, debuting on January 22. The devices may go on sale on February 7, though pre-orders could begin immediately after launch or a couple of days later. Samsung could open pre-reservations for the devices early next week.
