Samsung announced a multi-year partnership with grocery app Instacart. This lets you order groceries directly from your refrigerator’s screen. So, it looks like the days of running out to the store for a last-minute item might be numbered. In a way, Samsung’s smart fridges will tell you when you’re running short on groceries.
Samsung’s new Bespoke Smart Refrigerator line lets you order groceries via Instacart
In a recent newsroom announcement, Samsung revealed that its 2025 Bespoke refrigerator line will allow users to order their “favorite grocery items conveniently through Instacart.” It will be “powered by Vision AI food recognition technology.” The standout feature highlighted in the press release? Probably the term “replenish”, so you can replenish your fridge with ease. Samsung says the partnership with Instacart will help keep your Bespoke Smart refrigerator stocked and ready to go.
In the same newsroom post, Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of Samsung DA was quoted saying, “Samsung is working tirelessly to enable a more convenient home experience for our users with innovative technologies.” Meanwhile, Instacart’s Chief Product Officer, Daniel Danker said, “We’ve all dreamt of a refrigerator that could replenish itself.” Danker adds, “Now thanks to this partnership with Samsung, that’s no longer the stuff of science fiction.”

This new feature will be coming on Samsung refrigerators equipped with either a 9-inch AI Home screen or a 32-inch AI Family Hub+ display starting in 2025. Thanks to Instacart’s product-matching API, items identified in your fridge will be added to your cart. From there, you can directly place an order from the Bespoke Smart Refrigerator.
For those who already own AI Family Hub+, Samsung announced that the Instacart integration will be delivered to your fridge soon. It will be available via an update later this year. You can also tune into Samsung’s press conference at the upcoming CES.
