After several conflicting reports, it seems Samsung is finally ending the One UI 7.0 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series. Beta 4, released on Wednesday, could be the last, as a stable build recently surfaced on Samsung’s servers. A community moderator also confirmed that the stable rollout is coming soon.
One UI 7.0 stable update could arrive sooner than expected
Multiple sources recently claimed that Samsung plans six beta One UI 7.0 beta updates for the Galaxy S24 series. Beta 5 was said to arrive in March, followed by Beta 6 in April, potentially delaying the stable release until May. However, a community moderator refuted those claims, calling them speculative. They said the number of beta updates is never pre-determined and depends on the stability of the software, which totally makes sense.
Shortly after Samsung released Beta 4, another community moderator said it was the end of beta programs. They added that the stable version will roll out to Galaxy S24 users soon. Around the same time, Samsung uploaded a new One UI 7.0 stable build for the 2024 flagships to its servers. The “BYBC” build appeared in several regions, including the US.
These developments are a strong sign that our long wait for the stable One UI 7.0 update is ending soon. It remains to be seen if Samsung starts the rollout before the end of February. The company did say the update will arrive in the first quarter of 2025, so it has until the end of March to fulfill that promise. But we hope it doesn’t delay the update until next month’s deadline.
That said, Samsung’s Android 15 update has been marred by uncertainties. So, until the rollout begins, all we can do is wait and hope for a smooth release. Beta 4 does have some minor bugs and UI inconsistencies, though it is fairly stable. If all goes well, Galaxy S24 users could receive the update pretty soon.
