Samsung Showcases AI-Driven 6G Vision at Future Wireless Summit

Recently, Samsung hosted the Silicon Valley Future Wireless Summit in Mountain View, California. Under the theme “Future Wireless for the AI Era,” this event aimed to showcase Samsung’s vision and explore the potential of AI-driven communication systems, including 6G. It was attended by prominent industry personalities to discuss advancements and innovations in telecommunications.

Samsung discusses AI, 6G, and more with industry experts

The telecommunications industry is anticipating a wider use of AI technologies. With preparations for 6G accelerating, interest in AI-powered next-generation communication technologies continues to grow. Samsung used the summit as a platform to share its vision for an AI-enabled communication future. Representatives from telecommunications operators, manufacturers, government agencies, and academia attended the event.

The summit opened with a keynote presentation by industry experts on “Shaping the Future of Next Generation Mobile Communication”. The following sessions discussed the benefits of AI integration across all areas of telecommunications, the importance of sustainability in the development of 6G networks, and the architectural innovations required for 6G to offer unique services and enhanced user experiences 5G.

The summit also featured a technical demonstration of Samsung’s AI radio access network (RAN) technology, developed in collaboration with industry partners. This technology exemplifies how AI can enhance mobile network performance, showcasing the benefits of AI in practical, real-world applications. The Korean firm continues to emphasize its leadership in next-generation communication technologies powered by AI.

Earlier this year, Samsung became a founding member of the AI-RAN Alliance, assuming the vice chair role. The firm also chairs the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) 6G standardization group. It has also been reappointed as vice chair of the board of directors at Next G Alliance (NGA), further highlighting its commitment to AI-native communications. Expect to see Samsung among the firms leading 6G development and AI innovations in the communications industry in the coming years.
