Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 pro in the US. The big update for these two models was released in some international markets last week. users stateside can now install the new version to enjoy the latest features and enhancements.
One UI 6 watch update brings new features to the Galaxy Watch 5 series in the US
One UI 6 Watch, first introduced on the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra, is now making its way to other Galaxy Watch series. The Galaxy Watch 6 was the first to receive the stable update, followed by the Watch 5, Watch 4, and Watch FE. However, Samsung has been slow to roll out the update globally. After a slight delay, the Watch 5 lineup is now receiving it in the US.
The One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro comes with the firmware build numbers R910XXU1CXK1 and R920XXU1CXK1, respectively. As of this writing, only the Bluetooth variants seem to have received the new version. Samsung should soon push it to the LTE models as well.
This update includes tons of new features, including an AI-powered energy monitoring tool that tracks physical and mental energy based on sleep and activity. It also enhances sleep analysis, now measuring heart rate, respiratory rate, and sleep onset time. Users can create custom workout routines with targets and track them seamlessly, while new gestures, like double pinch, enable quick actions.
Additionally, One UI 6 Watch improves navigation with faster scrolling through notifications and tiles. Other improvements include direct calendar management, enhanced customization options, and extended battery-saving features.
