Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 lineup is receiving a new firmware update. The two redesigned earbuds launched last year are picking up a small update with stability improvements. It should soon be available to all users globally.
Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro receive a new update
Launched alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in July last year, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro are Samsung’s latest wireless earbuds. They sport a stemmed design similar to Apple’s AirPods but still have their own unique look. Samsung did well to differentiate its first stemmed earbuds from the crowd with angular stems featuring light strips.
Since the launch, the company has rolled out a few firmware updates to improve the connectivity, stability, and audio performance of these buds. Another update is now rolling out, starting in South Korea. The Galaxy Buds 3 is getting the firmware build number R530XXU0AYB3, while that for the Buds 3 Pro is R630XXU0AYB3. The update weighs between 7 and 8MB for both models, with the changelog confirming a minor stability release.
Samsung will soon roll out this update to the Galaxy Buds 3 duo globally. Users can check for the updates manually through the Galaxy Wearable app on their connected smartphone. Go to Earbuds Settings and hit the Earbuds software update menu to download and install the new build. You can check later if no update shows up today.
Grab the new Samsung earbuds at a discount without trade-ins
Originally priced at $249.99, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is now available with a flat discount of $50, dropping it to $199.99. While Samsung currently isn’t offering any special discount on the vanilla model, it’s still a decent pick at $179.99. You can save more with Samsung’s trade-in deals, with the company offering up to $150 trade-in credit depending on the device you exchange.
