Samsung Plans Dual Messenger Support for One Hand Operation+

by | Oct 10, 2024 | News, Samsung Apps

Samsung might add Dual Messenger support to the One Hand Operation+ app. The company says it’s exploring this possibility for an enhanced Galaxy experience. If it can make the feature work without any issues, a future update for the app could bring the ability to launch two different versions of an app via Dual Messenger.

Dual Messenger support for One Hand Operation+ may be in the pipeline

One Hand Operation+, a Good Lock app, offers enhanced one-handed usage for Galaxy users. The app lets you create custom gestures so you can execute multiple functions from the same place on the screen. However, it isn’t compatible with the Dual Messenger feature. You cannot assign two versions of an app to two different One Hand Operation+ gestures.

Even if you assign the original app to one gesture and its copy to the other, both open the original app. The copied version cannot be launched via these gestures. Some users have found it the hard way. A disappointed Galaxy user recently took to Samsung’s official community forum to report the issue. A community moderator responded with somewhat positive information.

The moderator acknowledged this issue with the One Hand Operation+ app. They confirmed that the service does not support the Dual Messenger feature, which is why users are struggling to switch between apps. However, on the bright side, the Good Lock team is exploring the possibility of adding support for Dual Messenger in One Hand Operation+.

While the moderator did not provide a specific timeline for the update, it is expected that this issue could be resolved in the next One UI update. Samsung has already hinted that the next major One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, may arrive early next year. A beta program for the Galaxy S24 series begins later this year. We will let you know when more information becomes available.
