Samsung Plans Big Upgrades for Game Booster Plus in One UI 7.0

by | Dec 31, 2024 | News, Samsung Apps

Samsung’s One UI 7.0 update introduced a new feature to Game Booster, allowing Galaxy users to manually switch between different screen refresh rates while playing games. However, this is just the beginning, as the company plans more gaming enhancements. At least three additional tools are expected to arrive through an update for Game Booster Plus, a Good Lock module.

Good Lock team plans new features for Game Booster Plus in One UI 7.0

Game Booster Plus is a Good Lock module that enhances your gaming experience with advanced customization and performance features. It offers tools that aren’t natively supported by Android OS. In a community post, Samsung detailed its Game Booster Plus plans for One UI 7.0. The company says it has three new tools in store.

The first is Gamepad Key Remapping. As the name suggests, it should let you customize the buttons on your gamepad. You can remap the buttons according to your preference for a personalized gaming experience. Next, Samsung is working on Detailed GPU Settings. It offers granular control over graphics settings. You can control anti-aliasing and texture filtering to fine-tune your visual experience.

Additionally, Game Booster Plus in One UI 7.0 might bring the ability to customize the game category. This gives users control over how games are organized on their devices, potentially allowing them to activate specific gaming features for certain types of games. Samsung plans to roll out these features with subsequent updates.

Meanwhile, the company is preparing to release the third One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series. It could come later this week. Samsung may not expand the beta version to other devices, directly introducing the stable build following the Galaxy S25 launch. The upcoming flagship lineup may go official on January 22, 2025. A wider One UI 7.0 or 7.1 rollout may begin in mid-February.
