Samsung has good news for Galaxy Watch users, or does it? The company is notifying users through the community forum to update the Watch Manager app. This may be in anticipation of the long-awaited One UI 6 Watch update, though there’s no timeline available yet. The firm recently suggested that the update could be delayed to November.
Samsung’s One UI 6 Watch update may be nearing its release
In a community post, a Samsung representative noted that some Galaxy Watch users, particularly those with a Watch 4 model, are using older versions of the Watch Manager app. This could cause various issues, including app crashes and unexpected shutdowns. The representative advised them to update Watch Manager to the latest version for a reliable experience.
Addressed to One UI 6 Watch beta users, the post came from a “Beta Manager” in the Samsung Community. It even provided users participating in the beta program with instructions on how to install the latest version of Watch Manager — a direct download link is available in the beta program’s official notice. However, we hope there is more to the story.
Samsung has been long testing One UI 6 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 6 and older models — the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra shipped with the latest version. It is expected to roll out the big update this month, though community managers say they do not have a release date yet. The development is in full swing but a rollout depends on various factors.
If everything goes as planned, One UI 6 Watch may be available widely this month. However, if something goes wrong, it could be pushed back to November. Samsung has its annual Developer Conference scheduled for this Thursday, October 3. Maybe it will share something about One UI 6 Watch and One UI 7.0 beta at the event. We will keep you posted.
