Samsung is preparing to launch its slim flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, next month. Earlier today, its third-party mockup surfaced on the web, showcasing the device from all angles and revealing its rumored 5.84mm thickness. Now, the US governmentโs FCC database and Singaporeโs IMDA website have listed the Galaxy S25 Edge, hinting that it is ready for launch.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge receives FCC and IMDA certification
As spotted by 91Mobiles, FCC documents mention Galaxy S25 Edgeโs model numbers SM-S937U and SM-S937U1 with FCC ID A3LSMS937U. On top of this, the model SM-S937B/DS model number has also been mentioned โ The โBโ suffix could refer to the global version, while โDSโ means Dual SIM.
The listing mentions that the Galaxy S25 Edge complies with radio wave emission and safety limits. The device supports the NR (New Radio) mmWave with n258, n260, and n261 network bands. Several devices, including the Samsung EB-BR830ABY smartwatch, EPL-PA300 tracker analyzer, and EP-T210 charger, were part of the test.
Speaking of the IMDA listing, Samsung Electronics Singapore PTE, LTD has registered the Galaxy S25 Edgeโs model number SM-S937B/DS. It reveals that the smartphone supports UWB (Ultra Wideband) sensors as well as 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth networks.
Unfortunately, the FCC and IMDA certifications did not reveal any other specifications apart from the above details. However, the appearance of these certifications means the Galaxy S25 Edge launch is imminent, with rumors suggesting it could happen on April 16. It could be available for purchase in May 2025.
As of now, there is no information about a global launch. Also, the company has no plan to hold a major launch event โ Instead, it might quietly unveil the device by publishing its specifications and marketing materials online. On top of that, the company might initially release the device in select markets, as previous reports suggest it will produce only a limited quantity. Only time will tell if the Galaxy S25 Edge will be available worldwide.
