Samsung Galaxy A26 Leak Unveils Full Specs, Launch Imminent

by | Feb 27, 2025 | Galaxy A, News

Samsung will soon launch three new Galaxy A smartphones: Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. These devices are expected to go official on March 2, followed by a market release a few days later. A major leak recently revealed the detailed specs for the Galaxy A56 and A36. The same source also gave us the full specifications for the Galaxy A26, alongside a bunch of new images showing its design.

Leak reveals full Galaxy A26 specs days before launch

Like the other two models, Galaxy A26 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, featuring an FHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung protects the screen with Corning’s Gorilla Glass, though it’s unclear which variant has been used. The A56 has Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus+, while the A36 has Gorilla Glass 7+. Additionally, instead of a punch-hole design, the Galaxy A26 has a notched display for selfie camera.

Speaking of which, the phone gets a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies. It might be the same one used in the Galaxy A25. Samsung upgraded the A56 and A36 to a newer 12MP sensor. Thankfully, the Galaxy A26 doesn’t miss out on the 50MP primary rear camera, which supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It’s paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a barebones 2MP macro camera.

The Galaxy A26 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1380 processor, which Samsung previously used in the Galaxy A54. The new phone will be available in the same 6GB and 8GB RAM configurations as the A36, while storage options may go up to 128GB. The A26 does stand out by including a microSD card slot, something missing from its more expensive counterparts.

Coming to the battery, it’s the same 5,000mAh unit found in its siblings. However, unlike the A36 and A56, which support 45W fast charging, the A26 is limited to 25W charging. The phone includes 5G connectivity, stereo speakers, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, NFC, and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It has a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner instead of an under-display unit.
