Samsung brings its home heat pump system to the US next year
In a recent Newsroom post, Samsung revealed plans to showcase two indoor home heat pump units — Climate Hub Mono and Hydro Unit Mono — and an outdoor unit — Mono R32 HT Quiet — at CES 2025. The indoor units are 600mm deep and feature a minimalist design, ensuring a great fit for your existing household furniture. The outdoor model looks more robust yet stylish.
Designed for floor and water heating, these home appliances are energy-efficient and more sustainable. Samsung says they produce less carbon than typical boilers that use fossil fuels. They are suitable for both residential and commercial buildings. The Mono R32 HT Quiet outdoor heat pump can supply hot water at temperatures up to 70°C, delivering 100% heating performance even at temperatures as low as -25°C.
The indoor units, meanwhile, come equipped with 7-inch touchscreen displays. These screens offer various controls and compatibility with Samsung’s SmartThings app and the AI Home platform. This allows users to monitor solar energy usage when connected to photovoltaic (PV) power generators. Additionally, the 3D Map View feature lets you set the optimal temperature for your home.
“We will actively target the U.S. market with Home Heat Pump EHS Products that are equipped with AI Home and Smart Things to manage energy more conveniently,” said Choi Hang-seok, a Senior Vice President at Samsung. The Korean firm eventually plans to penetrate the entire HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) market in the US. CES 2025 kicks off on January 7.
