Samsung has officially acknowledged what many users feared — the One UI 7 rollout won’t be wrapping up anytime soon. Despite repeated delays and shifting release dates, the company’s latest timeline suggests that many Galaxy devices won’t receive the update until May 2025 or later. Thankfully, the rollout looks set to begin on April 7.
Samsung’s One UI 7 update may not reach some Galaxy users until May or June
Samsung’s One UI 7 release has been plagued by uncertainty from the start. The beta version arrived several months late, and the stable update is still a few weeks away. A recent official announcement from Samsung Czech Republic offers a more detailed roadmap for various Galaxy phones and tablets.
As expected, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be the first to receive the stable One UI 7 update. The rollout begins on April 10 in the Czech Republic (April 7 in Korea and select other markets). The Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will follow a week later. Older flagship phones like the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 FE will receive the update in the weeks after that.
On the tablet side, the Galaxy Tab S10 series leads the way, picking up One UI 7 in mid-April 2025. The Tab S9 series will follow a week later, while the Tab S8 series will make the jump to One UI 7 by the end of April. Other Samsung tablets are in the pipeline to receive this update in May 2025 — or possibly even later.
This timeline may be specific to the Czech Republic, but expect Samsung to follow a similar pattern in most markets. More importantly, this confirms that the company doesn’t plan to complete the One UI 7 rollout in April. Samsung sees it perfectly fine to delay the update until May or June. We won’t be surprised if it is still rolling out Android 15-based One UI 7 when Google drops Android 16 in June.
