Samsung has released a significant update for its Clock app, bringing several enhancements designed to elevate functionality and user experience. Among the standout features are improvements to cover screen widgets for supported foldable phones. This update, version 12.3.30.38/39, is rolling out to Galaxy users globally via the Galaxy Store.
Clock update for Galaxy phones brings notable improvements
The latest update for Samsung’s Clock app contains three major changes. First, the company has integrated the alarm, timer, and stopwatch cover screen widgets for foldables into a single Clock widget. This integration provides a more streamlined and efficient way to access multiple widgets on the relatively small cover screens where screen real estate is a premium.
Samsung has also made a subtle yet significant tweak to the way alarms and timers function during phone calls. Previously, the alarm or timer would ring only once while on a call, but with the new update, the beep sound is now set to repeat. This change ensures that users don’t miss important alarms or timers even when they’re engaged in a conversation.
Finally, Samsung has improved the World Clock map screen in dark mode. The update is aimed at enhancing visibility and usability when using Clock to track time zones around the world on your Galaxy in dark mode. The changes should offer a more polished and user-friendly experience, aligning with the overall aesthetic of dark mode across your Galaxy device.
The update should become available to Galaxy users worldwide soon. To check for it, open the Galaxy Store, navigate to the Menu tab, and select Updates. You can also search for Clock in the Galaxy Store or click here to go directly to the app listing. If the update isn’t available for you and you want to sideload it, APKMirror has the latest version.
