Samsung vs. Apple is a long tale of rivalry. It doesn’t take a genius to see what’s going on and why Samsung can’t resist throwing jabs at Apple. It’s a battle as old as the hills, but I’m unsure if it’s aging like fine wine. This time around, Samsung is taking shots at Apple for not keeping up with the times and failing to push the envelope when it comes to innovation.
In a 1-minute video shared by Samsung US Newsroom on X, Samsung has a message for everyone, not just Apple or the fans. Samsung is taking a playful jab at Apple for not being as daring with its innovations. The video kicks off with Simon Says, after which a person is shown using an iPhone Pro model. The funny part? It’s tough to tell exactly which one, given how little has changed between the recent Pro variants.
If you try to fit in, you won’t stand out.

“If you try to fit in, you won’t stand out”
It refers to Apple’s classic Think Different slogan from the time of the legendary Steve Jobs, then shows people holding the same iPhones, followed by others wondering what’s new with the latest iPhone. Ouch! The video goes on to highlight how Samsung offers a variety of phones, such as the recent Z Flip and Fold models, while Apple is still flaunting its candy bar designs.
It then pivots to show the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s flip screen with translation capabilities, the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s S Pen stylus, and its AI image editing, saying that innovation is still alive and kicking at Samsung.
The final nail in the coffin when Nobody should wait for innovation drops, and Galaxy AI tools are shown in action. We’re not sure, but this could be a subtle dig at how Apple Intelligence features have yet to land on iPhones… only available on the iPhone 15 Pro or later.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on Samsung’s Simon Says campaign. We still have some mixed feelings, given how frustrated Samsung has left us with the delayed… and delayed One UI 7.0 update.
