If you have been facing issues with the Samsung Calendar homescreen widget on your Galaxy phone, you might be using an outdated version. Samsung confirmed a bug in version v12.5.04.0 of its Calendar app, occasionally causing the widget to disappear from the homescreen. A recent update for the app fixes the problem. The new version brings additional improvements.

Update the Samsung Calendar app to fix widget issues

Over the past few weeks, several Galaxy users have reported issues with the Samsung Calendar widget. The homescreen widget occasionally disappeared from the homescreen. A moderator on Samsung’s official community forums in South Korea recently confirmed the issue affecting version v12.5.04.0 of the app. The company has already released an update to fix the issue.

Check for updates on the Galaxy Store (go to the Menu option and select Settings) and update the Samsung Calendar app to fix this problem. The update brings version v12.5.05.10 of the app. In addition to the widget fix, the new version adds sticker sync to Samsung’s shared calendar. It also lets you add events via the cover screen calendar widget on foldables.

Moreover, Samsung has updated the date selector UI, Wallet UI, and lunar date repetition setting. We didn’t notice any major UI changes but you still shouldn’t pass on this update. You should regularly update your phone and apps to ensure smooth and reliable functioning. Samsung frequently releases new versions of its first-party apps, so keep an eye on those in the Galaxy Store.

The Korean firm recently updated the Galaxy Enhance-X app to add new features and stability improvements. You can update the app the same way as Calendar. Galaxy Enhance-X offers AI-powered photo editing tools to enhance your pictures with just a few taps. It is supported on most Galaxy devices, including mid-range models.
