Samsung Addresses One UI 7.0 Beta Rumors: What’s Really Happening?

by | Feb 19, 2025 | News, One UI

Samsung has finally broken the silence on the ongoing rumors about its One UI 7.0 beta plans. The company acknowledged the frustration that can arise from uncertainty surrounding the stable update. However, it emphasized that much of the information being shared online is speculative. Samsung’s focus remains on refining and optimizing the software for a stable rollout as early as possible. It doesn’t have a fixed number of beta releases planned.

Samsung debunks rumors about One UI 7.0 Beta 5 and Beta 6

One UI 7.0 entered the beta phase in early December last year. Samsung has so far released three beta builds for the Galaxy S24 series. It recently confirmed plans to release Beta 4 this week, though no specific date has been revealed. Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that Samsung plans Beta 5 in March and Beta 6 in April, potentially delaying the stable release until May.

These rumors contradict Samsung’s official announcement that One UI 7.0 will hit the stable channel in the first quarter of 2025, i.e., by the end of March this year. The company has now clarified the situation. According to a statement from a community manager, the number of beta versions is not pre-determined but is instead based on the necessity of further refinements, which totally makes sense.

Each beta iteration integrates user feedback to address bugs, improve performance, and enhance overall usability. This approach ensures that the final software delivers the best possible experience. Samsung will release beta builds until it deems it necessary, but nothing is pre-determined. While the company may not always provide exact release timelines, it reassures users that updates will be shared as soon as details are finalized.

With Beta 4 officially confirmed, it remains to be seen whether additional beta versions will follow. For now, Samsung encourages patience, reassuring users that the final release will be as polished and optimized as possible. These lengthy delays are frustrating users, but steady progress is being made, and a stable release is on the horizon. We will let you know when we have more information about Samsung’s One UI 7.0 roadmap.
