Although the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is still two months away from debuting, the rumor mill is filling up. Early spec details, database listings, and alleged videos give us a taste of what’s heading our way. We’re also hearing more about the software that will launch on the new S25 devices.
The latest leaked One UI 7.0’s Quick Panel is nothing like anything before
In what appears to be an unreleased version of One UI 7.0, it has been leaked once again. The leak seemingly comes from the highly reliable source, Ice Universe (via @TechKhaled_). The image doesn’t show much, except for the Quick Settings panel, which looks much better than before. The changes are especially clear compared to what we saw at SDC in San Jose.
It differs from the previously leaked Quick Panel in One UI 7.0, from SDC 2024. As mentioned, One UI 7.0 is expected to be a major revamp, the first in a long time. So, it’s quite plausible that Samsung may be testing different skins before making a final decision.
Per the leaked photo, the gradient blur has been significantly updated, and the ordering and placement of the toggles have been adjusted for a cleaner look. There are rounded edges that mimic — or suit the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. It’s clear that the design team has optimized the OS for phones with rounded corners, as it looks especially sleek in this image. One small detail to note: while the label says S24 Ultra, the device pictured is likely the Galaxy S24+. We initially thought it could actually be the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra but the bezels are a bit too thick.
One UI 7.0 beta expected release date
The latest word on the street is that the One UI 7.0 beta will first hit the Galaxy S24 series in the first week of December. Within the next two or three weeks, it could land on the S23 series. In typical fashion, Samsung releases the stable version of major OS updates about two months after beta testing, so we can expect One UI 7.0 for all eligible devices to drop around Galaxy Unpacked, which is rumored to take place on January 22, 2025.
