Samsung chief to discuss Galaxy S25 and One UI 7 in employee meeting

According to the Korean media, Samsung’s upcoming meeting with employees with be focused on strategies to overcome challenges and maintain dominance in the smartphone market. The company will analyze the performance of its latest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 launched in July. Industry insiders claim the market demand for the new models has been underwhelming in the first three months.

Samsung’s mobile experience division saw its operating profit decline by over 20% in the third quarter. This underpins the sluggish sales of the latest foldables. The company will be keen to avoid further declines in the coming quarters. It has delayed the release of One UI 7 to focus on enhanced user experience. The Android 15 update for Galaxy devices is expected to be the biggest ever, offering unmatched performance.

We are looking at a massive UI overhaul and enhanced system animations for smoother navigation. Rumors suggest One UI 7 will be the smoothest smartphone UI in the market, smoother than iOS 18. All this while still offering a highly customizable and feature-rich experience. The big update will enter the beta stage in December. Samsung will introduce the stable version of One UI 7 with the Galaxy S25 series in early 2025.

Speaking of the new flagships, a design overhaul is also on the card for those. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature curved corners, a massive shift from a sharp, boxy design. The lineup includes three models, all expected to be the slimmest flagships in their respective segments. Galaxy AI will be integral to the One UI 7 experience in the Galaxy S25 series. Stay tuned for more about Samsung’s highly anticipated hardware and software releases.
