Samsung has rolled out the One UI 7 beta with enhanced Galaxy Buds integration. When connected, the Galaxy Buds icon now appears in the redesigned Quick Panel media player, simplifying playback controls and device management.
One UI 7 enhances media controls for Galaxy Buds users
One UI 7 introduces a redesigned media player widget. Alongside the aesthetic upgrades, the new widget brings a nifty feature. It simplifies Galaxy Buds management and controls with a dedicated button. Once the buds are connected, you’ll see an icon in the redesigned media player. Tapping it opens a new page to manage the buds.
The controls page shows a volume slider at the top, followed by the battery level for both buds. Below those, you get buttons to turn ANC (active noise cancelation) on or off or switch to Ambient sound or Adaptive ANC. You can also manage the ANC level here. The same page offers controls for 360 Audio and Equalizer settings.
This is a handy new addition that enhances the music experience in One UI 7. Samsung also added new sound features like Loudness Normalization and App Sound Settings, with the latter allowing you to create separate sound profiles for each media app. Galaxy Buds integration in the music player widget adds to the enhanced customizability of the new version.
This update also reflects Samsung’s focus on building a connected ecosystem where devices work seamlessly. The integration ensures Galaxy users can easily manage their audio without navigating through separate menus. It simplifies interactions, reduces setup time, and creates a smoother overall experience for users invested in Samsung’s ecosystem.
Samsung is expected to expand the One UI 7 beta program beyond the Galaxy S24 series to more devices in the coming weeks. The stable release, coming in the first quarter of 2025, will bring these enhancements to a wider audience.
