As the Galaxy S25 launch approaches, Samsung is fine-tuning its One UI 7 software. The company recently released the third beta update with several bug fixes and improvements. Here’s a look at the key changes One UI 7 Beta 3 brings to Galaxy devices.
What does Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta 3 bring?
The official changelog for One UI 7 Beta 3 is extensive, with the first thing listed being an enhanced scrolling experience in the vertical app drawer. Samsung appears to have addressed issues with the scroll bar on the right side of the app list, ensuring smoother navigation when scrolling up or down. The new release also improves Game Booster, adding a few new tools.
Additionally, you can now switch the Quick Panel to the top left corner when set to appear separately from the notification tray. Earlier, it was glued to the top right corner. In the Home screen settings, you can no longer enable widget labels without enabling app labels. The reverse is still possible, though. Samsung also introduced a new 4×1 homescreen widget style.
Elsewhere, Samsung reworked the battery icon to address a bug that caused it to change size when pulling down the notification tray. However, the new design looks worse. It’s shorter and thicker, making it stand out awkwardly from the other status bar icons. Hopefully, a future update will refine it further.
This update also brings Now Bar improvements and new sound effects for locking, unlocking, charging, system sound, and more. Samsung has also improved the Galaxy AI icon in Settings and enhanced fingerprint recognition. On top of these, we have noticed a redesigned app permissions page in Settings.
One UI 7 Beta 3 contains a bunch of other bug fixes across the lock screen, edge panels, AOD, and other functions. Samsung may roll out at least one more beta build before introducing the stable One UI 7 update with the Galaxy S25 series later this month. The new flagships go official on January 22. You can pre-reserve the devices now to unlock exclusive benefits.
