Well, the One UI 7.0 beta has been rolling out for the Galaxy S24 series for a few days now. Among all the changes this update brings to the table, one area where One UI 7.0 really hits the nail on the head is the landscape layout on our Galaxy devices. Samsung has done a terrific job, and we’ll share what are the changes inside.
One UI 7.0 beta fixes the landscape layout, quite beautifully
The changes in the landscape layout in the One UI 7.0 beta, compared to the current One UI 6.1.1 stable version, are well-thought-out and finely tuned. The new landscape layout in One UI 7.0 beta tweaks the aspect ratio on widgets, turning them into a real visual treat. You can compare the landscape mode in One UI 6.1.1 with the One UI 7.0 beta to see the difference for yourself.
Unlike One UI 6.1.1, the apps on the home screen and widgets are now perfectly aligned, keeping everything in harmony with the overall aesthetics. This is yet another smart move, and we can only hope to see more of these thoughtful improvements in the upcoming stable version. What’s more, the labels now sit beneath the app icons, rather than next to them, creating a cleaner look.
More changes are on the way with the One UI 7.0 stable version
The One UI 7.0 beta rolling out on the Galaxy S24 series could very well be just a teaser of what’s to come in the final update. We’re expecting even more changes in the stable version, which should arrive around the Galaxy Unpacked event. This is where Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series.
