Samsung’s One UI 7.0 update isn’t just about refining smartphone experiences — it’s about enhancing the entire Galaxy ecosystem. With this update, the Galaxy Buds 3 series gains smarter, more intuitive features that offer seamless control, personalized sound settings, and an optimized listening experience. The company recently explained these upgrades.

Samsung details advanced controls for the Galaxy Buds 3 in One UI 7.0

Gone are the days of navigating through multiple menus to fine-tune your audio settings. With One UI 7.0, Galaxy Buds users can now adjust volume, noise control, and sound preferences directly from the quick settings panel on their smartphone. Open the Quick Settings panel on your connected smartphone, touch and hold the volume slider, and tap the setting you want to adjust.

If you prefer to keep different sound settings for different apps, One UI 7.0 has got you covered. The new App Sound Settings allow you to set custom audio profiles for specific apps. Your Galaxy Buds 3 or Buds 3 Pro will remember your settings and automatically apply your preferences whenever you stream music or video through that app.

These controls are also available in Quick Panel. To use, tap the Earbuds icon in the media panel or hold the volume slider. Now select the app and adjust the sound settings accordingly.

One UI 7.0 also offers Adapt Sound, which delivers a personalized audio experience by curating sound profiles that enhance clarity. You can take an advanced hearing test to create a custom profile or select from preset profiles based on age groups. Navigate to the Galaxy Wearable app > Earbuds settings > Accessibility > Adapt Sound and choose a preset or take a hearing test.

Smarter audio experience with Galaxy AI

Your Galaxy Buds 3 or Buds 3 Pro also support the Galaxy AI-powered Interpreter in listening mode. You can hear real-time translations through your buds in up to 20 languages without looking at your phone. Open the Interpreter app on your phone, select listening mode, and choose your desired language. Now, tap the microphone icon to start or stop the translation and pinch controls on buds to pause or resume translation.

Additionally, One UI 7.0 enhances Adaptive Noise Control, dynamically adjusting noise levels based on the surrounding environment. Siren Detect and Voice Detect ensure users remain aware of emergency sounds and conversations without manual adjustments. These settings are available on the Galaxy Wearable app.

All of these features ensure Galaxy Buds users can enjoy an immersive and effortless listening experience like never before. Unfortunately, Samsung has yet to roll out One UI 7.0 to Galaxy devices. While the Galaxy S25 series and a few budget handsets launched earlier this month ship with the new version, the update isn’t available for older devices. Hopefully, it will arrive soon so all Galaxy users can enjoy these enhancements.
