Samsung might launch the One UI 7.0 beta sooner than expected. Well, the update has already faced several months of delays, so we are running behind the usual schedule. Most recently, the beta program was rumored to begin in December. However, a recent leak indicates it could be available as early as November. There is still no specific launch date or official confirmation about its release.
One UI 7.0 beta could be on track for a November release
At SDC 2024 in early October, Samsung revealed that its Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update will enter the public beta phase before the end of the year. It didn’t specify a more precise timeline. However, industry insiders claimed the beta program would start sometime in December. Considering how unfinished One UI 7.0 appeared at SDC, the claimed timeline looked reasonable.
However, x user @SamsonSirJi was recently provided with some positive news by Samsung’s One UI developer team. According to them, the company expects to complete the development of a “mostly stable” One UI 7.0 build by the end of this month. This build will be stable enough for a public beta release. It won’t contain any major bugs, ensuring a smooth experience for beta testers.
Samsung reportedly delayed the One UI 7.0 beta release to work on minor bugs internally. It appears the company is close to achieving the desired stability. If true, a beta program for the Galaxy S24 series could arrive in November. Of course, nothing is set in stone. Until Samsung officially announces the One UI 7.0 rollout, all we can do is speculate and hope for the best.
The update is expected to be the biggest in Samsung’s history. One UI 7.0 introduces new app icons, a massive UI overhaul, several new features, additional customizations, and much-improved system animations. The Korean firm aims to create an unparalleled software experience for Galaxy users, smoother and more fluid than Apple’s iOS 18. Stay tuned for the official announcement.
