Samsung may not be done rolling out One UI 7.0 beta updates just yet. It appears to be preparing another beta build (Beta 5) for the Galaxy S24 series before releasing the stable version. The company did recently hint at a nearing stable release but we do not have official confirmation yet.
The Galaxy S24 series might get another One UI 7.0 beta update
Earlier this month, Samsung released the fourth One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series. It followed up with a minor hotfix update to resolve a VVM crash issue. However, this fix was only rolled out in the US, suggesting that devices in other regions do not have any such critical bugs.
Many expected Beta 4 to be the final test version. In fact, a Samsung representative called rumors about Beta 5 and Beta 6 speculative, while another beta manager said beta programs have been closed. The company was allegedly preparing for the stable release. However, a newly spotted test build suggests that Beta 5 might be on its way.
X user @tarunvatss33 spotted the One UI 7.0 build version ZYBF for the Galaxy S24 series on Samsung’s servers. It’s a new, unreleased beta build. While this doesn’t necessarily mean Samsung will roll out another beta update, it’s a big hint. The company may still have work to do before pushing the stable version.
With Beta 4, Samsung introduced various bug fixes and camera improvements, but users have continued to report lingering issues. The company may address those with the next beta update. Beta 5 will likely focus on system stability, bug fixes, and performance enhancements rather than new features.
As for the stable rollout, this discovery hints at a longer delay. If Beta 5 exists, Samsung may not release the stable One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S24 series in early March. The company previously said the update will roll out before the end of March. Time will tell whether it can fulfill that promise.
