Today, Samsung rolled out the fifth One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. As expected, the update primarily focuses on bug fixes and stability improvements, though it also introduces a new feature to the former two models. Let’s dive deeper into the One UI 7.0 Beta 5 changelog and see what’s new.
One UI 7.0 Beta 5 introduces Samsung Log to the entire Galaxy S24 lineup
One of the most notable additions in the fifth beta update is the Samsung Log function for the Galaxy S24 and S24+. This feature enables professional-grade video production with stunning color correction and dynamic range support. Samsung originally introduced this feature with One UI 7.0 on the Galaxy S25 series and rolled it out to the Galaxy S24 Ultra with Beta 4 last month.
Additionally, One UI 7.0 Beta 5 addresses a bunch of known bugs and functional inconsistencies. Samsung says it fixed an intermittent display error in Now Bar controller, a lock screen notification setting error, and a widget issue where icons appeared too small in the widget settings screen. It also fixed occasional blur issues when adjusting widget transparency.
Elsewhere, this update enhances readability by preventing text and images from overlapping in certain scenarios. Samsung also improved layout consistency by addressing the quick action menu spacing issue. On top of this, One UI 7.0 Beta 5 resolves an intermittent issue where the edit button in the Gallery app would not function properly. It also ensures that notification history functions normally.
Last but not least, Samsung improved media playback notifications to display in real-time for a smoother experience. This update also contains various other improvements enhancing the overall performance and stability of One UI 7.0 on Galaxy S24 phones. Samsung plans to release the stable build in April. It’s unclear if this is the final beta update or if we will also get Beta 6.
