The wait for the third One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series might be longer than anticipated. A new report suggests Samsung may delay the release until next week, potentially pushing it into 2025. Moreover, the Galaxy S23 series and older models are unlikely to receive One UI 7.0 beta updates. The company is expected to roll out the stable build directly in February next year.
Samsung may make you wait longer for One UI 7.0 Beta 3
According to X tipster @FamilyTaes, Samsung plans to release One UI 7.0 Beta 3 next week, not necessarily at the beginning of the week. This essentially means the update might be delayed until the new year. The company will roll out 2-3 more beta builds before pushing the stable update.
Samsung has already confirmed that the stable rollout won’t begin until the Galaxy S25 launch. Since the new flagships are rumored to go official on January 22, 2025, older models are likely to receive the One UI 7.0 update starting January end. The Galaxy S24 series will be the first to pick up the big update. It will gradually expand to other eligible devices.
The likes of the Galaxy S23 and S22 series are expected to receive the update in February. Worse yet, there may be no One UI 7.0 beta program for these devices. The same source suggests Samsung doesn’t plan to roll out beta updates for any other Galaxy S or A lineup except for the Galaxy S24 series. It could still launch a beta program for foldables.
If true, Samsung risks disappointing millions of Galaxy users. The One UI 7.0 update has already been delayed by several months. Rolling out beta updates to all recent models could have offered some balance. However, the company appears to have other plans. Hopefully, this delay won’t backfire and dampen user anticipation for the update. We will keep you posted.
