The One UI 7.0 Beta 2 update is rolling out in select markets for the Galaxy S24 series over the past few days, giving interested users their fair share of time to test it out. There are definitely improvements in animations and quite a few new features (along with some bugs) ahead of the stable release. However, several users have reported battery issues in One UI 7.0 Beta 2. Complaints are popping up on the Samsung Community forum and other places.
Users are complaining about battery issues in One UI 7.0 beta 2
When Samsung rolled out the One UI 7.0 beta, battery issues were, unsurprisingly, part of the package. Given that it was the first beta release, many users hoped that these problems would be ironed out in the subsequent One UI 7.0 Beta 2. Unfortunately, much to their dismay, the issues have persisted.
One user reported that their device now lasts only six hours, down from nine hours previously. It’s an almost 1.5 times decrease in battery life. Meanwhile, another user claims their battery consumption has nearly doubled after updating to One UI 7.0 Beta 2. It seems that these battery woes are still proving hard to shake off. However, there’s a good thing, after all.
The good thing is Samsung acknowledged these battery issues
Samsung has, however, quickly acknowledged the battery issues in One UI 7.0 Beta 2. A Beta Moderator urged users experiencing problems to report the issue through the Samsung Members app. Along with the message, they provided clear instructions, asking users to submit their reports within 15 minutes of encountering the issue to ensure accurate data collection.
If you’re also facing battery problems after updating to One UI 7.0 Beta 2, be sure to submit a report. To do so, simply open the Samsung Members app, go to One UI Beta Program, select Beta Feedback, attach a screenshot, check the box for Send system log data, and submit report.
