As we approach the November security updates, Samsung is rapidly completing its October update rollout. The Galaxy A32 5G recently received the October security patch for both the global and US versions. Additionally, the Galaxy A25 received it in European markets. The Korean firm previously updated dozens of phones and tablets across various price points to the October patch.
Galaxy A32 5G and A25 grab the October security update
The Galaxy A32 5G, launched in early 2021, is eligible for two years of major OS updates and four years of security patches. Debuted with Android 11, it picked up Android 12 and Android 13. As it nears the end of its support period, Samsung has continued to honor its commitment, delivering timely security updates for the mid-range phone as long as it remains eligible.
The company recently released the October security update for the Galaxy A32 5G, covering both the international version and the US units. Depending on your device variant and region, the update comes with the firmware version CXJ2, DXJ2, or something else (check the last four digits of the build number). The changelog remains the same globally, though.
The latest update brings nothing more than the October SMR (Security Maintenance Release). Last month’s security patch addresses 42 vulnerabilities, including seven critical issues. These critical flaws allow threat actors to potentially access your device remotely. Samsung is also pushing this update to the Galaxy A25 in Europe. The new build number is A256BXXS6BXJ1.
Your Galaxy phone should generally notify you when a new software update is available. If it doesn’t, you can manually check for updates by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Following these steps will help keep your device secure and up-to-date. Samsung has already started rolling out the November security patch for eligible models, so stay tuned for more updates.
