Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is expected to substantially improve system animations on Galaxy phones. Leaks have provided a sneak peek into what the company has planned. As the beta release approaches, a tipster has revealed exciting details about the refreshed animations and smoother transitions in One UI 7.0.
Leaker shares exciting details about One UI 7.0 animations
Noted Samsung leaker Ice Universe recently took to X to share insights on X about the revamped animations coming to Galaxy phones with One UI 7.0. While text descriptions can’t fully capture these visual enhancements, they sound like a massive step in the right direction. The company has seemingly made systemwide changes for a smoother and more refined user experience.
According to the leaker, One UI 7.0 offers a soothing wallpaper-shrinking effect when you turn on the screen. If you unlock the device, you get a bouncing effect on the screen. Swiping down the screen to pull the Quick Panel produces a spring rebound animation. Animations when opening an app have a more non-linear floating feeling, while animations for going back to the app drawer have an icon pattern zoom effect.
Samsung has introduced parallel animations for more fluid visuals when you open and close multiple apps in quick succession. You might have noticed people doing this test on phones to evaluate the system’s smoothness. If animations aren’t smooth, you’ll see jittery visuals on the screen as you move from one app to the other.
One UI 7.0 also revamps the animations and transitions you see on the screen when you navigate through various settings pages and click on the menus. Additionally, homescreen and lockscreen widgets have new UI and animations. Notifications also show “elastic animations” for a more enjoyable user experience. The tipster says Samsung is actively working on these updates. It might adjust a few things based on user feedback during the beta phase. One UI 7.0 beta could begin soon.
