Although Samsung hasn’t announced it, Galaxy fans are eagerly anticipating the unveiling of One UI 7.0 at the Developer Conference (SDC) tomorrow, October 3. The update is expected to bring significant enhancements to design and functionality. Leaks hint at a revamped aesthetic for Samsung’s custom Android skin, including fresh app icons. A recent leak reveals what appears to be the new Galaxy Store icon for One UI 7.0.
One UI 7.0 could introduce a new Galaxy Store icon
Samsung is aiming for a visual upliftment for its Android-based One UI software. One UI 7.0 redesigns various UI elements, introduces new color schemes, and improves the smoothness of system animations and transitions for a fluid user experience. As part of this effort, the company is revamping app icons with bright and vibrant colors, making them pop on the screen. Leaks have already shown some of the new icons.
The supposed One UI 7.0 icon for the Galaxy Store leaked through X recently. It follows the same design language, color tones, and vibrancy as the new icons for Settings, Camera, Samsung Internet, Contacts, Gallery, Phone, and other Samsung apps shown above. You can check out the Galaxy Store’s redesigned icon below, courtesy of @GalaxyTechie. The source doesn’t specify where they extracted the new icon from.
Note that Samsung still hasn’t officially revealed anything about One UI 7.0. You can’t tell whether the leaked icons are final or the company has further tweaked them. The first set of icons first appeared over two months ago. Plenty of time has passed since, and Samsung has been relentlessly working on One UI 7.0 all this while. It allegedly delayed the beta program to ensure a smooth experience from day one. Hopefully, the long wait will be worthwhile. SDC 2024 kicks off at 10:00 AM PT/ 05:00 PM GMT on Thursday. We will be at the venue to bring the latest announcements to you.
