As Samsung gears up for the Galaxy S24 FE’s launch, more information about the phone has surfaced online. A fresh leak reveals its display size and battery capacity. Rumors say the Korean firm will unveil the upcoming Fan Edition model in October.
New leak confirms the Galaxy S24 FE’s display and battery specs
Leaks have already revealed that Samsung is making its FE phone bigger this year. The Galaxy S24 FE has been rumored to sport a 6.65-inch display, notably bigger than the S23 FE’s 6.4-inch screen. A new report from Android Headlines says the screen on the upcoming phone measures 6.7 inches diagonally. The discrepancy could be down to the way they are reporting the decimal figures, but a bigger display seems confirmed.
We should be looking at a flagship-grade Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. The report reveals that Samsung has bumped the screen brightness from 1,450 nits to 1,900 nits. A bigger profile means the battery capacity goes up too. The Galaxy S24 FE allegedly packs a 4,565mAh battery — the S23 FE has a 4,500mAh unit. The charging speed may remain unchanged at 25W.
The new FE phone shares the chipset with the Galaxy S24 lineup. Samsung is using the 4nm Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors. That’s two generations of upgrades over the S23 FE’s Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 at a go, potentially bringing major efficiency gains. The camera setup remains unchanged, though the new ISP and other hardware and software upgrades may help the phone capture better photos.
The Galaxy S24 FE may also support more Galaxy AI features than the 2023 model. An October launch means the phone is unlikely to run Android 15 and One UI 7.0 out of the box. Samsung’s big One UI update may not be ready before November. The handset is said to come in Black, Gray, Light Blue, Light Green, and Yellow colors. Stay tuned for more leaks, rumors, and official information about the Galaxy S24 FE.
