Major Bugs Could Impact the One UI 7.0 Beta Experience

by | Nov 15, 2024 | News, One UI

Despite taking forever to develop One UI 7.0, Samsung may still be struggling with bugs. Reports suggest that the latest internal beta version, expected to roll out to Galaxy users next week, has issues in animations and other UI elements. The company is reportedly facing challenges in achieving the desired stability before the beta release.

Samsung is still struggling to address major bugs in the One UI 7.0 beta

Galaxy users have high hopes that Samsung will finally launch One UI 7.0 beta next week. The company recently uploaded the beta firmware for the Galaxy S24 series to its official server. It has also quietly set up the Samsung Members app for beta sign-ups. The beta program could go live early next week in some markets, including the US.

However, it may not be the smooth sailing everyone hoped for. While early leaks suggested Samsung delayed the One UI 7.0 beta release to enhance the stability and address bugs internally, the first public version may be quite unstable. According to reliable leaker Ice Universe, the beta firmware that Samsung uploaded to its server (XKB) has many bugs.

“There are still bugs in animation, and they are new bugs,” the tipster claims. The Korean firm is working hard to address these problems but finding it difficult to achieve the desired results. It’s unclear whether this could further delay the beta rollout. However, it appears the One UI 7.0 beta experience may not be very pleasant for Galaxy users.

Of course, we are talking about beta software, which is bound to have some bugs and stability issues. But Samsung has taken so long to develop One UI 7.0 that people have higher expectations. There were even talks about the company potentially skipping beta testing and directly rolling out the stable build. It turns out even the latest beta build has too many bugs.

Either way, we hope Samsung releases the beta soon and focuses on bug fixes and stability improvements over the next couple of months, incorporating user feedback. The stable version is already confirmed to arrive with the Galaxy S25 series, expected to launch on January 22, 2025.
