Numerous leaks have already surfaced, providing a wealth of details. A newly leaked video shows a Galaxy device running the new version, offering a closer look at the revamped Quick Panel, updated lock screen widgets, and smoother animations.

As you can see, Samsung has redesigned the Quick Panel and improved system animations for enhanced visual appeal. The tipster says One UI 7.0 gives “tough” competition to Apple’s iOS 18 in terms of aesthetics and fluidity. They even shared images comparing tow two OSes side-by-side. The upcoming update for Galaxy devices is already being hailed as the biggest in Samsung’s history.
Rumors suggest the company will launch public One UI 7.0 beta programs for the Galaxy S24 series within the next few hours. It is expected to initially roll out the beta update in Germany, South Korea, and the US. China, India, Poland, and the UK may join the party later, possibly next week. Other Galaxy devices should also receive the beta update later this month or in January.
Samsung has already announced that the stable One UI 7 update won’t arrive until after the Galaxy S25 launch. The new flagships are expected to ship with One UI 7.1. It’s unclear if the company will directly roll out 7.1 for other devices too or if it will first release 7.0. Some Galaxy users may have to wait until deep in 2025 to receive the big update.
