We really enjoyed the January Unpacked event, but Samsung’s July Unpacked event looks even more exciting. That’s when Samsung is expected to unveil the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7. Rumor has it that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will sport a significantly larger 8.2-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch cover display. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is tipped to feature a slightly larger 3.6-inch cover display and a 6.8-inch inner screen. Above all, the biggest upgrade will likely come to the Flip 7, which may feature a full cover display.
Galaxy Z Flip 7’s alleged case leak confirms full cover screen rumor
A few months before these foldables get an upgrade, accessories for them have allegedly already leaked. Noted tipster Ice Universe posted four pictures on X. These pictures are allegedly the case and screen protectors for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7. What’s most important is that the leaked Galaxy Z Flip 7 case supports previous rumors that Samsung is going for a full cover screen.
When I first saw the updated renders shared by OnLeaks (via Android Headlines), I wrote that I feel this is “a long-overdue redesign.” And now that this leak comes directly from Ice Universe, the chances are quite strong that it could make it to the final version. Here’s hoping it does.
As for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, its screen protector leak also reveals a few things, but nothing major. There are no specific measurements, but the aspect ratio seems to align with previous rumors of a much larger screen. In fact, the Fold 7 appears slightly narrower than its soon-to-be predecessor.
With the second Unpacked event just a few months away, we’ll know more as we get closer. Hopefully, the next event will also answer some of our unresolved doubts about the fate of Samsung’s debut tri-fold.
