Leaked Galaxy S25 Dummy Units Highlight Design Changes & Size

by | Oct 18, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

A few days ago, a dummy unit of the Galaxy S25 Ultra leaked to confirm its design. Now, dummy units of the other two models, the Galaxy S25 and S25+, have also surfaced. These leaks provide insight into the design and dimensions of the upcoming devices. Samsung plans to launch the new flagships early next year.

Galaxy S25 dummy units leaked to show us their sizes

The recent leak of the Galaxy S25 and S25+ dummy units offers a good look at Samsung’s next flagships. The phones sport a uniform design with rounded corners (Ultra is less rounded) and individually positioned rear camera sensors rather than housing them all in a module. All three models feature a flat display and flat edges.

The source reconfirms the dimensions of the Galaxy S25 trio. The base model measures 146.94 x 70.46 x 7.25 mm, Plus measures 158.44 x 75.79 x 7.35 mm, and Ultra measures 162.82 x 77.65 x 8.25 mm. All three models are slimmer and narrower than their predecessors. Samsung has invested a lot of resources to improve the overall look and feel of the new flagships.

The design upgrades also make the phones lighter than competing devices. The Korean firm wants to improve the one-handed usability of its big phones without impacting the overall functionality. This is essentially why the Galayx S25 Ultra is moving away from its “block” appearance, switching to angular corners. The changes come while retaining a big display, battery, and S Pen support.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 series in early 2025. Alongside a redesign, the new phones should bring camera and display upgrades, and various internal improvements. Samsung’s overhauled One UI 7.1 software should also deliver significant performance enhancements. Stay tuned for more information.
