The One UI 7.0 beta is now rolling out in all eligible regions. On top of that, Samsung is also releasing One UI 7.0 beta 2 for the Galaxy S24 series in select markets. After using the One UI 7.0 beta for some time, we encountered a few issues that required immediate attention. One of the major concerns was Android Auto compatibility, but it seems the One UI 7.0 beta 2 has finally fixed that issue.
Android Auto compatibility issues now fixed with the One UI 7.0 beta 2 update
We reported last week how the recent One UI 7.0 beta broke Android Auto. Several users flagged issues with the One UI 7.0 beta, and we weren’t given any special treatment. Our editor Jeff mentioned that while One UI 7.0’s battery performance is great overall, it’s problematic with wireless Android Auto. He noted that it gets worse with Android Auto than 6.1.1 was, with over 20% of the battery being drained during his daily commute.
True to form, Samsung acknowledged the issues and resolved the Android Auto functionality with One UI 7.0 beta 2. Now, we can confirm there are no heating issues either, so battery drain has been kept to a minimum. Additionally, connection issues seem to have been fixed as well.
One UI 7.0 beta 2 is rolling out
In bigger news, One UI 7.0 beta 2 is rolling out to the Galaxy S24 series in select markets. We’ve already installed the latest update and will keep you posted on everything it brings, including any additions or removals. If that wasn’t enough, we’ve learned that the next beta builds are coming on December 23 and December 30.
Are you excited about the stable One UI 7.0 version, which is likely to arrive in January?
