If you’ve been wondering why your One UI 7 beta-powered Galaxy S24 doesn’t show Google Sports updates on the Now Bar, you’re not alone in your frustration. Despite being listed as supported in the settings, the feature simply does not work. We have tested multiple S24 units, and Google Sports was broken on all of them. We have also seen many other users report this issue online, so it’s clear that this isn’t an isolated case.
Google Sports updates don’t work on Galaxy S24 with One UI 7 beta
The Now Bar integration for Google Sports provides real-time updates on your favorite teams. Introduced with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series, this feature uses AI to analyze your Google activities and shows live sports updates for teams that you might be interested in. It’s a great tool for sports fans — we have found it helpful on numerous occasions when we couldn’t manually follow a match live.
Samsung recently rolled out this feature to the Galaxy S24 series with a new One UI 7 beta update. However, Google Sports updates on Now Bar remain non-functional on the 2024 flagships. If you look into settings, the feature is there, but it doesn’t work. This is particularly frustrating because the tool works perfectly fine on the Galaxy S25 series but not on the S24.
The good news is that an update should fix the issue. It should be a relatively simple feature to support, and Samsung and Google must be aware of the complaints. But for the time being, Galaxy S24 users will have to wait and see. If you’re experiencing the issue, you’re not alone — and hopefully, a fix is on the way soon. Maybe with the stable One UI 7 update? Samsung plans to release the big update for the Galaxy S24 lineup on April 7.
